Therapeutic. Highly detailed and even without throttle it’s a sight beholding afloat. Can cruise relatively far, and has so far been a sartorial pleasure.
Now, a few points if this is your first scale RC.
1. The 2 holes in front near the chains, representative of the real one’s chained anchors, should be sealed creatively, without ruining realism. Otherwise water will get in.
2. Rigging of the top part hooks can be tricky. Be careful as fragile. Have super-glue just in case.
Buying these separately is not really an option.
- marine clear tape to ensure no water makes it into the hull from the ‘bottom floor’, under the small orange safety boat level.
- ballast. You’ll need 1 -2 lb, can be gotten on Amazon, I used graphite balls, then separated them into 2 ziplocks, rolled and shaped for the the bow and area slightly ahead of the engines.
- marine grease + optional grease gun: haven’t yet greased the shaft but grasp it should at some point
I’ve uploaded a video of many. See how it performs.
