I became aware of Vulcan after engaging in heavy research, as I planned to build a home gym. Vulcan plates and barbells came highly recommended and after careful analysis, I decided they were worth a shot. I have been very happy with the bumpers and dumbbells that I ordered. In total, I purchased around 450 lb of bumpers (a mix of kg and lb bumpers), and all except the 10 lb plates were within the advertised weight tolerance. Vulcan made things right with the 10 lb plates and even though the resolution wasn't my preference, they did take care of me. I am still waiting on some equipment to be delivered before my home gym is completely up and running, but I have enjoyed my home gym deadlift and overhead press days with the Vulcan bumpers. Unfortunately, I still have to go to a public gym for some of my workouts, until the home gym is fully ready. Vulcan seems like a solid company. I'm giving them 4/5 stars due to my slight issue with the bumper resolution, but I will say that I plan on ordering more equipment from them in the very near future, so they clearly are doing things right. I will continue to give them the opportunity to earn my business. They put a lot of effort into designing top-tier products at very reasonable prices and are one of very few fitness equipment companies following such a model at the present time. You can spend more and overpay for what I consider to be similar quality, or you can pay less and get inferior equipment. No matter what, it is difficult to do better than Vulcan, no matter who you shop with or what you pay.
