I had an unusual use for this. I had a bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction , and simce it is winter the dictir warned me not to let the skin my chest become cold for 2-3 momths, especially during winter. The skin and delicate reoairimg of blood vessels would not do well in the cokd, since the skim had very little subcutaneous fat left, and the implants could become very chilled. The womens vests do not have heat on the chest, so I used a snall men’s vest. It has helped ne tremendously to regulate the warmth and so, I healed more quickly and with less pain than other women had. Since one of the heat elements is also on the back, I can easily feel the temperature, to regulate it. I wear 2 layers (surgical vest and cotton top underneath) and I never felt overly warm. Keeps the cold from the outside out
