We chose the 8 day mechanical movement instead of the electronic version for its authenticity and for the longer operating times between winding up. The detail is great from the chalet to the figure of the man and his dog.
We are enjoying the sounds of the Cuckoo Clock in our house. I enjoy the fact that as it chimes on the hour, I know the time without looking at a clock.
