“Fantastic glove! Designed and built like a japanese market glove with a flat, wide palm that is ridiculously light. Plays larger than 11.5" because of the straight fingers. This glove is perfect for any infielder that needs a glove to provide easy, quick transfers. I would give 5/5 buy the kip palm liner "bleeds" when I sweat even a little.”
“I ordered this custom glove in Dominican colours for a baseball trip to the DR. I’m very happy with how the glove looks and with the materials and manufacturing. However, I was disappointed that the second heel run couldn’t be laced. There is also an odd aspect to the pattern. I wear the glove with two fingers in the pinky slot. The opening above the wrist strap is unusually large and the binding on the top of that opening digs into my middle finger painfully. I have worked around this by wearing it with the middle finger out and the index in. Not ideal, but much more comfortable and shouldn’t impact performance. I don’t know if this would be the case with every Japan Select, or if it’s a defect on my glove in particular. It probably wouldn’t be an issue if you wore the glove traditionally.”
“At first, I hated the glove. It was very loose in the palm and binding lacing. But once I relaced the glove to the tightness I like, I have fallen in love with it. Only issue I have is the red dye in my palm getting on my hand in every use. But other than that, great glove and will buy again in the future.”
“my son is a pitcher, so this glove doesn't get the wear & tear of an everyday player. that didnt prevent a small tear in the leather while playing catch. unfortunately, it happened at 14 months after purchase, and warranty is only 12. 44 offered no support. would expect a glove touted as "the same pro grade japanese kip leather pro players demand" to last longer than a season.”
“My son designed his pitching glove. Everyone thinks it looks great. He broke it in right away and loves using it. This is the second glove he has designed through 44 as he has a first base glove as well.”
