“I recently placed two orders for Pro 44 softball gloves, which were my first new gloves in almost 30yrs. The design process was very easy. I designed a 13" outfield and 14" first base mitt. Love the outfield glove. Amazing quality and snug fit. The first base mitt doesn't fit as well and not liking it as much. Could be the design or the size I selected. That's the hard part about buying without seeing the product and spending a lot of money. You take a chance, especially with leather colour selection. Check all the online pics to be sure what that colour looks like, because the images in the online design tool are not clear. Taking my time to break in the gloves. Just playing catch, shaking off all the rust, and generally loving my 44 Pros.”
“I did have a first baseman’s mitt made. The leather is a bit thicker than I would have liked it - making break-in a challenge.
My biggest issue may be minute to others - is the distance between the blackstrap and base from where the fingers start. It’s just very wide - fingers are more exposed, and even with a large hand, it’s just not a comfortable feel - especially since I leave my pointer finger out. I feel like I have less control of the mitt.
Stitching and lacing as well as embroidery is well above average. The colors pop beautifully. Presentation of the mitt upon arrival was a pleasant surprise.”
