“Our daughter loves her new glove. She plays infield and outfield and her glove is perfectly sized. She loved the personal touches we added for her. The quality has been great so far!”
“Glove is average. I will not promote another brand in a review, but this glove felt "cheaper" (i.e., the leather) than others I have used. It feels "thin." I paid for a break-in, which seemed to work. Company is VERY rigid once order is placed, even though I do not believe I was at the stage where it could not be changed.”
“The process of ordering and customizing the glove was very easy. The hard part was the wait and the communication from the company was basically non existent. I waited 6 weeks after receiving an email that stated 7 days preparing to ship .. The glove when it got it (ordered it at 90% broke in) was stiff, and slightly wonky when using all finger in proper place. Learned quite quickly two in the pinky slot is required. Was.laced too loose for me so I had to tighten everything down and begin the break in process.
The break in process was fairly quick using old school methods of shaving cream with a ball in pocket wrapped tightly with a rope for a day, day 2 was thoroughly washing it, rubbing it with baby oil and baking it twice. Moved on to beating the hing ponts and developing the pocket. Once formed to my liking, two sessions of car windshield again ball in pocket wrapped in rope. The Las Vegas heat got it where I wanted it. Looking forward to hitting the field.”
“Thye glove arrived on schedule and is well constructed. I have a machine used for braking in gloves and been using it, a mallet and other tools, aside from using during our softball team mpracices, with minimal progress toward a good broken in glove. I ordered it ready to play, but the liner they use does not support the glove being delivered in that condition, so do not believe them when they tell you it is ready to go. I just worked on three other 44 softball gloves and all of them are in the same condition. If you decide on a 44 glove I would give it a full season of practice then use it as a gamer the following year.”
“We ordered both my son and daughter their gloves here. Only my daughters came in decent looking as expected. Requested it to be “Game Ready” and I will definitely say don’t expect it to be actually game ready. That is the only reason we ordered it, expecting it to be ready in time for her season with minimal breaking in ourself. Was exactly the same stiffness as a friends glove that was ordered and did not option for game ready. Will never order from here again. Customer service for my son’s glove was horrible as his came in with discoloration. Do your research and go else where.”
“Overall this is the same great build quality and customization that 44 is known for - however I was very dismayed to find some embossing and branding that is not reflected in the glove designer. Especially since some of that is a large gaudy new slogan on the inner thumb. Is it that big of a deal? No if it the designer just showed what you were getting there. And the new "game ready" break in needs more like 50% break in rather than the advertised 20%.”
