“It comes with a CD with the learning songs on it which is kind of outdated. I don’t own a CD player and don’t have a disc drive on my laptop- so we weren’t able to use that all. I thought maybe we could listen to it in car rides- but nope, no cd play in there either. That really needs to be updated to a USB or something.
She kind of got it otherwise but is not very interested I think she would like it more if she could hear the songs.”

“We love it! We had already done other work on recognizing lower case letters and what they sound like last year, so she took off real fast with this... until we hit blends! We hadn't done that before and we've had to go at a slower pace now (more normal pace). It's amazing to see how excited she is to learn to read and when she figures out a special word like "dad"! The other day she was carrying around all her prize cards and looked for the starting letter when she heard certain words. She was so excited and proud of herself... and is impressing everyone with her letter knowledge! AND my 2 year old son who is a resistant talker now says "ess" anytime he sees letters or numbers and is starting to pick out the letter S specifically. I have not been working with him on this, but he is very interested in anything his older sister is interested in!
