I have been using my bar for about 2 months and haven't made a dent into it yet. It cleans my hair so nicely and I have really oily roots. I have very long hair that reaches past my belly button and this shampoo works great. I have to apply it about 8 times to my scalp to get enough lather for a deep massage.
The bar lasted about 3 months between me and my partner, who has short hair.

“The bar lathers well so it is easy to use - not too different from a liquid shampoo. Has a nice, refreshing smell which doesn't linger too long on the hair after it's washed.
I use the bar a little more than the instructions says as I stroke it through my hair about 8 to 10 times. I do have long hair (about 5 cms past the shoulders) so I'm not sure it is equivalent to 3 bottles of liquid shampoo for me. However, I still love using this as I feel my hair is less oily on the 2nd day.”
“My first shampoo bar was a bit average and after doing some research I was super excited to try Ethique. They have surpassed my expectations.
My hair feels clean, fresh and exactly like it would with high end shampoos (I just finished a popular brand before my plastic free transition). This bar lathers incredibly well, smells amazing, is not stripping and does a great job at thoroughly cleaning my oily scalp.
I also feel a lot more comfortable going longer without washing and this cuts through the couple of days build up so well.
I do find mine tend to vanish a little faster than other reviews might but I am pretty liberal in how I use them - they usually are under the water for a while so it's perfectly understandable.
My hair length is also just below the shoulder blades and I have NO ISSUE with using these and their cleaning ability/ general usability. I know some reviews seem to discount bar shampoo for long hair and while mine isn't butt length, I'm just not convinced long hair means you can't use a bar!”
