It is a good product. But time consuming. It's cover the gray hair. I think if you use regularly, it will be give good results.

This stuff is amazing. Granted it's messy to apply (I think next time I'll put coconut oil in my hair prior to help the dye spread better) and takes longer to develop than normal dyes, but my goodness is it worth it. I will have to use this far less frequently than regular dye as the colour holds really well and looks really natural. My hair feels stronger and healthier as a result. I've gotten so many compliments about my hair colour with this product, I'll definitely be sticking with this product from now on :)

Having been lucky enough to inherit grey hair in my early 20s, and now 40, I have 20 years of experience of trying to find a natural solution to cover greys at home until I am ready to embrace my silver locks. I've used everything from veggie dyes to mixing my own henna and indigo in the past, but getting the mix right was a bit random. Desert Shadow takes the guesswork out and gives me great colour. I am a busy mum, work part-time and volunteer, so whilst finding time to dye my hair is tricky, I have found this can be easily fit into an evening if I mix Stage 1 in the morning. My metime' includes doing chores, and getting kids to bed and storytime, but as this formula doesn't drip at all, and doesn't make a mess when applying, this is a winning formula for me that means Desert Shadow is going to be my continuing approach for natural colouring. Really impressed. Note: on first application my greys (which are virtually white) were a bit resistant, but by the second application the coverage was fantastic. You may want to plan ahead for a quick follow up if you have more than just a few greys here and there.

I am delighted with the result achieved with this hair dye. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is a bit of a rigmarole to prepare, however the end result was worth it, it has completely covered my numerous grey hairs. One of the things I dislike about DIY box hair dyes is how brassy/chalky hair looks after application and the uneven tone, i.e lighter at roots and darker at the ends. This dye looks completely natural and still looking good after 8 washes and 2 swims. Will definitely be using again!

I see this product as a life saver!! I used the Walnut shadow and yes it is a bit more difficult to apply than chemical colours but i actually love the process and knowing that I'm not putting chemicals in my hair it is totally worth it. The result was better than any chemical colouring I've ever used...it feels so natural and is super shiny. I cannot believe there are only 4 ingredients in it...all of which I actually know what they are. My one deadly sin has been using chemical dyes and I hate myself for it as I'm trying to lead a healthy life. This product has just saved me from ever having to use chemicals on my head again!! Hooray!!

I've been using this hair colour for a year now and it is amazing! Makes my hair shiny and smooth and it also smells nice. I do add a bit of extra spices and improvise on instructions, that is, I do add honey to the paste :)
