“Works well. Excellent mid-range unit recommended over more expensive models because the touch screen on others can be problematic in the rain. Bought a second one for my son.”
“Good bike computer and training features but not without its annoyances. Workout & Ride displays are excellent as expected, however some of the "extra" features cause the display to lag significantly and need to be disabled. Not sure how useful it would be for routing & navigation due to the lag.
Also there is an annoying bug where sensor connected alerts get stuck in a continuous loop and the device needs to be power cycled to clear it. Really annoying when running late for a group ride and I need it to "just work" when I grab and go.
For the price the features are good, however I would expect the lag and bugs to be non existent at this price point.”
“Recently upgraded from Edge 500. Very happy generally. Easy to initially set up using app. Crisp clear screen with huge amount of features, a lot I have not used yet. Could be better with a software update to remove map from Climbpro making it a lot easier to read. Also noted that you are unable to increase volume on bike alarm and there are no doubt other improvements Garmin could make.”
“For a nerd who wants to know everything, this gadget is perfect. I’m a nerd in this regard but it takes a few rides to master most of the gadgets and a lifetime to get it all. So if you are a keen rider who doesn’t forget to also keep an eye around you then you will accumulate more bike data than you can jump over.”
