“The mirror is great. Because the others don’t have a convex image (especially the glass ones). That just means that you have to have the other mirrors pointed at the right position to see a car coming behind you.
Where this mirror’s image is convex. What that means is, if you hold it in front of you, you can actually see to either side of your body. It captures nearly 180’ angle, making it so much safer.
The only problem with this mirror is that the connector that goes over the handle bars is for the older style skinnier handle bars and won’t fit the larger new handle bars. This is a terrible omission from the company and the bike ship doesn’t have a larger connector? They should!! But they don’t. I guess this is where a good company won’t just sell equipment that is not suitable for the bikes that they sell. I asked and they don’t really care and didn’t provide a solution. I’m pretty handy, so I have got some old connectors off my old bikes.
In saying this, I have purchased 2 mirrors. One for me and my wife. I still haven’t fitted them, but I can’t see there being any issues unless the plastic shaft breaks?
Definitely do your research on mirrors before you buy. You really need a good convex mirror. This is the only one they sell?”
“Flexible arm can be attached to handlebars in many ways to obtain the ideal rear vision position. I found the convex fish eye mirror image requires some time for the rider to become confident in judging safe distances. This mirror is most suitable for European style swept back handlebars. The construction appears robust enough to survive a fairly severe knock.”
