“We have 2 Valectrix E Bikes onthis rack. They are 1 kg over the perscribed weight each but without battery are right on the limit. This rack is a perfect fit on our dual cab ute with canopy and is recommended. I suggest you follow assembly instructions EXACTLY as outlined. Do not over tighten the screws and use the washers, plastic spacers and nylon lock nuts exactly as shown. You will dent or bend the steel if you are over rough and its not necessary. I prefer my own longer Allen key over the key supplied. Dont put any body weight on the rack either off or on the car. We have fitted the perscsribed registration plate and the lights work without adjustment straight out of the box. The light cable is long so make use of the cable ties supplied. It took 30 minutes to assemble and 30 minutes to set it up on car including the proper distances of the wheel stirrups. I think all of the fastening straps could be 3 to 5cm longer to make mounting easier but they feel like good quality. The towball locking system is easy and the rack would be quite hard for thieves to steal. We have set up everything for our 2 bikes and now from the time you attach it to car, mount and lock down bikes takes 10 minutes. If you have a canopy use the single ratchet type strap to pull the bikes together so the handle bars dont strike the canopy back window. I also suggest 2 people lift the bikes on due to the height. Otherwise a suitable product for us with just very minor blemishes.”
“Great product, easy to fit to the tow ball and very secure. Used to carry a ML Giant Road Bike and lining up the bike frame to the uprights to secure with the provided strap can be a little tricky due to the frame shape. Solved this by securing with a few extra cable ties around the frame (padded with some foam) for added security and stability. Only negative is that they don't provide the insert for securing the number plate, a quick trip to Bunnings for some thin sheet metal which was then cut to size solved it.”
“assembles easily. fits on towbar easily. the plug-in indicator/brake light/number plate feature is a real benefit. Improvements? The built-in tie-back strap to the vertical frame member could be longer - a bit short to go around the downtube on big battery or thick frame bikes like the Cube or Kalkhoff tourers.”
“Came in a box, took about 30 minutes to put together. Has a light kit and a spot to put a plate. Using it on two rode bikes and they fit well, 2 x Mtb Bikes might be difficult. Selling point for me is it's light and easy to get off the tow ball”
