“This works great and is exactly what we were hoping for. Easy and fast to mount on our towball, light enough my wife can do it solo. Fits all our weirdly shaped adult and kid bikes. Bikes get strapped in securely and don't move around when driving.
We do have to leave the anti-sway mounting plate on our towball, and even then it can move with a good tug. But it has been totally fine for driving around locally, just yet to try it on a long trip.”
“Love it. Easy to put together. Make sure you attach it to the tow ball to make it simpler. Simple to use and take bikes on and off. Only flaw being when placed on the ground the number plate bends under pressure as it should be higher.”
“I have tried a few solutions over the years.. carrying 4 bikes on a tow ball is not ideal, but I have a gooseneck (euro style) detachable tow ball.. it goes on fine, if you tighten right up it doesnt appear to rotate when driving.. but I havent gone on a long drive or a sharp corner yet.. it probably will, its a lot of weight.. and although it comes with an anti sway bar attachment.. that only works if its a standard towball you can remove.. so I havent used it.
The unit itself is fine.. the verticals aren't really designed to fold down which is my only criticism as that would enable the boot to open when the bikes are off.. other than the rest is good and a good price and weight for a 4 bike platform.. they can get super heavy, not that this is light, but its a similar weight to my old 2-bike yakima one.. the licence plate holder and lights are really good too, you know your not going to get in any strife. The rest is all pretty much the same as any other bike rack..”
