“the bike is good, it runs well and after a few short 30k rides, it appears the battery life is shaping up to be quite long. my wife only engages assistance when going uphill or riding into a headwind. so her use of the assistance is minimal. overall she is pretty pleased with it.
the only thing i thought was pretty pov was the complete lack of any materials to inform the new buyer of some of the issues around batteries, like optimal recharging best way to use assistance, how to use the controller and how to set up the app and get the most out of it.
even a qrcode to a website would have been handy.
you spend close to $4000 on a bike and you get a box with a charger in it and that's about it.
buy a $10 bike light from aldi and you get more information.

“This is a fantastic bike and it's really motivated me at the age of 50 to get out and do the longest rides I've ever done. The Bosche motor is very powerful and the assistance phases in and out very smoothly when needed. It has 4 levels of assistance and as I have a reasonable level of fitness I haven't needed anything greater than levels 1 and 2 so far. The feeling of motoring up hills and into headwinds is quite addictive. The bike seems extremely well made. The seat is fairly comfortable (more comfortable than my silverback mountain bike that's for sure). The components are high quality and you do get a decent air shock. Yes you pay more for a cube than some cheaper brands but you get what you pay for. I would suggest test riding a few to compare. The problem is though if you test ride this cube you won't want to settle for a cheaper one! The Bosch battery lasts a very long time, I haven't really determined how far I can go yet, but after a quite hilly 35 km ride the other day it still had 70% charge left. On the forest trails this bike has easily managed everything I've asked of it. I'm very happy with this purchase from 99 bikes!”
