“I needed a new rear wheel and gear cables to upgrade wife's 15 yr old hybrid road bike (8 speed). Shop mechanic recommended the Shimano RS100 700c, which was about the price I wanted to pay. Gave me some spacers to fit the longer hub and some advice on fitting the new cables. The parts fitted perfectly to the old bike which now running smoothly. Bike hasn't been ridden much since the upgrade so can't accurately rate the quality of the Shimano wheel. Previously had mixed experience at 99 bikes Kedron with customer service and pricing, however this time was impressed with the service.”
“Swapping from old wheel to new wheel was very easy. I cleaned break pads to prevent rim contamination. Removed sprockets cleaned and installed on new wheel. 1 st ride done, very smooth, wheel is still true and spokes still have an even tension. I am happy with my wheels.”
“Getting hard to find rim brake 10 sp wheels, so I had to go with the budget option to replace a cracked ProLite Bracciano. I thought this wheel was going to be a tank, but it's actually really good. Well made, my preferred steel freehub that should resist grooving better than the Al version on the ProLite, and to be honest, it doesn't feel any heavier (NB. confounded by a very fast Pirelli P-Zero tyre: I was running a Gatorskin on the ProLite). For $120 this was a great buy. Hope the robots at Shimano built it well :)”
