“First of all, the bike is excellent but the purchase experience was poor.
Here are the key frustrations:
Delay in delivery: bike purchased 27/11/2025 but not delivered to local store until 23/12/2025. This is despite the online advertisement of 7-10 days timeframe. I been calling 5 times and visited the store to chase up, each time with promise only to met with further disappointment when it simply was not even shipped!
Here are also what’s problematic in how the bike was put together: rusty bike chain, scratched cassette cover, wobbly wheel, missing top tube screw cap…. Disk brake not tuned properly.
The local Elizabeth store tried their best to provide after care and has replaced bike chain and ordered cassette cover - has been more than 2 weeks and still waiting for update on when it will arrive.
I expected more when I purchased a $3000plus bike… I would suggest to purchase the floor stock at least you can inspect it and know its quality before purchasing and it will be ready straightaway! I hope 99bike can do an internal investigation and prevent this from happening again to another customer.”
