“This bike is very nice and excellent to ride. I only give it 4 stars it is just because Merida has put very lower range of parts to the bikes compare with the previous years 160 400. I have a friend who has the 2021 160 400 and it brought top quality parts from known brands. Just have in mind that the bike comes with sram brakes db4 and the recommend it it’s replace them. I’ve had many trouble from the beginning with these brakes. Even I had to visit 3 times at least 99 bikes to talk about the brakes and they didn’t want to do too much with the brakes. I told them they were not working good and had to bleed them after my third week of having the bike and they didn’t want to do it even if the bike was under warranty. I had to buy better brakes to avoid this problem. The chainguide broke. The cranks broke. The derailleur came with a factory defect and 99 bike didn’t want to do anything so I have to fix it myself with a bush mechanic fix to keep using it. Everything under the warranty. So I replaced most of everything and it’s going very nice now. I recommend going higher than 400.
The bike it’s a very nice bike. Just the 400 range comes with cheap parts nowadays. Previous 160 400 came with better quality parts overall. Even with all this problem that I had with the bike I’m still giving it 4 stars.”
