“You can’t just buy a kids bike one size fits all. We have twin girls, 3 years old, but not identical. They look similar in size. Yet this bike only works for the smallest of the two.”
“We purchased this bike for our daughter's birthday, and initially everything seemed great. The staff were friendly, assembled the bike for us, and advised that it had been safety checked before we collected it.
Unfortunately, when we got the bike home and gave it to our daughter for her birthday, she couldn't ride it. The pedals were extremely stiff and difficult to turn, and there was a constant clicking noise from the chain area, as though something was catching.
Our daughter is capable of riding a bike. She can ride her older sister's bike with no problems, so it was clear the issue wasn't her ability.
My husband contacted the store and was told they couldn't do anything over the phone and that we'd need to bring the bike back for inspection. While we understand they need to see the bike, it's a 40-minute drive each way, which has made it difficult to return. It's disappointing that a brand-new bike, assembled and supposedly safety checked by the store, left us in this position.
Overall, we're disappointed that our daughter's first "big kid" bike wasn't ready to ride on her birthday. We had expected it to be properly assembled and checked before collection.”
“Christmas present for daughter, so no real world use yet. Really like the colour scheme. Haven't looked at the paint application too closely yet. Bearings in the head (where the handlebars swivel) feel very poor. Feels like there are notches in there, rather than feeling smooth like it should.
Decent price for my 2 year old, and overall I feel it will outlast he needs for it.”
