“Good value bike, but some of the components are on the cheap side. My son had a fall and broke the left brake handle within weeks. It's made of metal but clearly not very strong. This kind of damage also isn't covered by warranty.
The service by the 99Bikes Bondi team is great, though. I've taken it in for a repair and they'll replace both brake handles with a better version. Jack and Scott are both a pleasure to deal with.”
“Great affordable bike with real equipment, not gimicks. I like my kids to learn to use gear that is the same as my high end adult bikes so that they can transition from bike to bike and be familiar with the controls. This bike has good thumb click shifting, not twist-grib which can be hard for little hands and is not used on bikes as they get older. It has disc brakes, a quick lever to adjust seat height and wide pavement tyres. Great for riding to school, not great for soft sand. Good bike for covering some distance to school on pavement. I cut the bottom of the seat post off to drop the seat lower for my boy who just turned 7. He'll have room to grow into it.”
