“The Quad Lock came to me like a small, sure miracle—
a clasp of certainty in the rattling weather of the road.
No longer does my phone thump like a guilty heart
against the thigh-pocket’s dark, uneasy cave;
it stands now, bright-eyed and steadfast,
lashed to the bicycle’s bones,
singing distance into numbers
and numbers into triumph.
With it, the miles speak as they pass—
each kilometre a bead on the rosary of the ride—
and music, swift as blood,
flies at my touch into the air,
a rhythm for the legs, a hymn for the lungs.
Freedom, I have learned, can be engineered:
metal, case, click, and trust.
Let it be known to the slow dreamer on a penny farthing,
teetering through time on a single, hopeful wheel,
and to the Lycra-bright comet,
multicoloured and merciless,
devouring the road in pursuit of yesterday’s ghost—
this lock, this small covenant of grip and grace,
is not an accessory but a liberation.
Praise it, then, with moving legs and unburdened pockets,
for it holds not only the phone,
but the ride itself, fastened firmly to joy.”
“Another classic Quad Lock case. As ever, very functional, but fairly utilitarian styling. The new flattened back looks much nicer than the non-mag design though.
I noticed when looking for a new case most others mentioned what height they’re drop rated to but this one didn’t note it anywhere. I’m guessing it’s not the highest as there are no absorbing features inside. That said, I’ve used dropped my phones many times over the years in these cases and never had a problem.”
