Scooter was great for ~9 days and then completely stopped charging. Segway dragged their feet on getting any warranty process underway - to the point that they offered a second hand scooter for the faulty new one. Ended up refunding the purchase, as it was a waste of time dealing with Segway. The team in the Mitchell store were fantastic and really helpful throughout the whole process (especially dealing with my frustration) and I am definitely heading back to them when I need a new bike.

I recently purchased a Segway G3 from 99 Bikes and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The sales attendant was incredibly helpful and patient, taking the time to show me the G3 in detail and allowing me to thoroughly compare it against several competing models on the floor. This hands-on approach really helped me feel confident that I was making the right choice. The store had plenty of stock available, so I didn't have to worry about wait times or backorders. The team was both knowledgeable and friendly, providing a professional and low-pressure environment throughout the entire process

Had it for just over a month, couldn't be happier. Plenty of power to get up hills, only downside is that the range is much lower than advertised especially if you live in hilly areas but it charges very quickly so at least you can top up quickly. If you want the extra range you can replace the internal battery with a GT3 one or buy the external battery attachment. Suspention is good and takes out bumps but riding on rough surfaces like loose gravel you can still feel some vibration which can be uncomfortable for long periods unless you bend your knees. Having dual brakes are very good and makes it a lot safer going down steep hills or riding in traffic as you can break quickly. It will make noise if it gets wet or debries in it but that is normal for any disk brakes and will go away (the scooter is rated to handle rain). Overall it is a solid scooter that is perfect for commuting and ok for light offroading would reccomend.

Great scooter , my only criticism is its range on anything other than eco mode doesn't quite live up to claims, and the optional external battery is never available for purchase

I recently purchased the Segway Ninebot G3 Max electric scooter and, after spending some decent time with it, I’m genuinely impressed. Build quality is the first thing that stands out. The scooter feels solid and well-engineered, with no rattles or flimsy components. It inspires confidence, particularly when riding over less-than-perfect footpaths or rougher urban surfaces. The deck is wide and comfortable, and the handlebars feel sturdy without being overly heavy. Performance has been excellent for commuting and everyday use. Acceleration is smooth rather than jerky, making it easy to ride in busy areas, and it handles inclines far better than I expected. It maintains speed consistently and feels stable even at the upper end of its range. Braking is strong and predictable, which adds a lot to the overall sense of safety. Range is another strong point. In real-world conditions, it comfortably delivers enough distance for multiple trips without the constant anxiety of needing a recharge. Charging is straightforward, and it slots easily into a regular routine. The ride quality is also worth mentioning. The suspension and tyres do a good job of absorbing bumps, making longer rides far more comfortable than cheaper scooters I’ve used in the past. Controls are intuitive, and the display is clear and easy to read, even in bright daylight. Overall, the Segway Ninebot G3 Max feels like a premium, well-thought-out scooter that’s ideal for urban commuting or general transport. It’s not the cheapest option on the market, but the quality, reliability, and ride experience make it feel like money well spent. I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable, high-quality electric scooter for everyday use. Final thoughts, the people at 99Bikes North Fitzroy were fantastic!
