“Many years ago I bought a saddle that was really comfortable. It was made of some internal spongy material that made the saddle surface really soft and cushioning to sit on. I thought that a gel saddle would be like that old saddle. That was not the case at all. Gel saddles are almost as rigid as foam saddles and hard plastic saddles and provide minimal relief from rides on bumpy surfaces.”
