“Purchased a Magene Exar Ultralight TPU Presta Valve Tube from 99bikes in Springvale after a puncture and they installed it on the spot in a jiffy. Thanks guys, very helpful and a nice chat as well.”
“I had two Magene Exar Ultralight TPU tubes as spares and had to use them when I unfortunately encountered some glass on a ride which punctured my existing TPU tube. I removed the glass from the tyre and installed the tube with no problems only to have a slow deflation of the same tyre a short time later.
On inspection it was found that the leak was from the base of the valve stem and not from left over glass or installation issue. I then had to use the second tube which thanfully got me home.
I will be returning the faulty tube to 99 Bikes for a refund as I wwas not impressed with this TPU tube. I will be returning to the standard tubes as I can't justify the extra expenditure of TPU tubes.”
“I went to your store on Oxford St to purchase two inner tubes for my CUBE bicycle that I bought from you. I gave the lady the inner tube that needed replaced. She gave me two tubes of the wrong size. Now I am stuck overseas without the tubes I need to get my bike on the road. Ibought one lightweight and one standard. I will return these when i come back to Australia in about six weeks. The tubes look like they are 4-5cm too large for the rim. This is poor service and small errors can have big consequences.”
