“Yes its expensive. Yes its awesome. Yes it will really help your cycling and general fitness. Yes it's solid and build quality seems very good. There are plenty of in depth reviews on the web which obsess over every detail but in the end you want something built well, reliable, quiet and with a great app ecosystem. Wahoo have nailed each of these with this version. Sure it doesn't have the ability to replicate downhill like the Tacx - but I personally was more interested in tried and true tech with a reputation for working. Setting it up was entirely straightforward with the wahoo app. The bluetooth connected first time to a very old ipad, the wheelsize set and you are off. You will need a separate heart rate monitor if you have an Apple watch as there is no watch app - but anything broadcasting on Bluetooth will work. A couple of weeks of workouts and I've already improved measurably. If you need a trainer you can't go wrong with this one”
