“We chose this item because the available alternatives seemed cheap and flimsly. We were not disappointed. It came packed extremely well and the instructions, save one part, were VERY CLEAR. The only confusion we had was the final step to install the folding doors. The FIRST thing is to attach them to EACH RESPECTIVE END (CORNER) THEN the middle (the instructions did not specify this step). I did not do this and it resulted in me having to REMOVE one side and reattach it with some minor scratching invovled (damm screwdriver!)
It's a beautiful piece and anyone would be proud to have this piece prominently displayed in their home.”
“The item itself is well designed. The color is a little darker than I had envisioned, but well built. It is also shorter than ideal, however it does match the dimensions.
They TRIED very hard to protect it in shipping by all their internal packaging, however the piece was still damaged. Had a fifty-fifty chance of the damage being on the back side of the unit, no luck, it was on the front.”
“The console contains finishing details that are were part of our decision making process and yet were difficult to find in the specifications and marketing presentation. Some, we found AFTER receiving the unit. For instance, the internal dimensions, the retractable hinge mechanism, plywood as the base material, all of which were positives for this unit and worth mentioning.
For our particular application, we found some challenges that we were able to overcome. For example, the internal dimensions would not allow our speaker to be placed upside, so we put them hotizontally... the AV amplifier's depth barely would fit internally and the connectors on the back had to protrude from the back. As a design suggestion that -perhaps- would lower the cost and increase functionality, one of the back panels could have just one bigger cut out by just eliminating the center part. This would lower the weight, save material, accommodate a greater variaty of AV equipment and facilitate cable management.
This unit came very well packaged and had a solid assembly result, which is also a big plus. In addition, the internal reinforcements, wood and quality of material were differentiators with regards to the competition.
