Opera Media Console Reviews

Opera is a modern media console designed for home theater enthusiasts and those who would like them to keep their enthusiasm out of sight. The slatted accordion doors are acoustically transparent, so you can keep them closed while enjoying pure, unmuffled audio from your soundbar, perched conveniently on the full-width shelf. The long, low profile is perfectly proportionate to today's big TVs, while the contemporary design keeps your living room looking clean.

So easy to assemble, shockingly simple. Walnut color is spot on. The open back and slatted front is functional as designed-airflow and remote access. Note when it says 8" shelf that's the height between the inside bottom to the bottom of top shelf. The top shelf is shorter by 2".

Quality of the product is poor. It assembles easily but is easily chipped. For the price it is not worth it. That coupled with poor communication on delivery dates and having to chase the company for updates creates a poor overall experience.

While the Opera Media Console was back ordered and took a little extra time for shipment and delivery, I can honestly say that it was "worth the wait!" The quality, the engineering, the ease of assembly was 1st class! Thank you Burrow! I hope we get to do business again sometime! -GF

Love it. Solid, easy to assemble & looks great. Just be patient, it takes a VERY long time to arrive, much longer than they said it would take. All in all though- we are very happy.

I’ll get a couple positive things out of the way before getting into the negatives. It looks nice, albeit a few inches shorter than I’d like, and the build instructions were significantly simpler and clearer than what most furniture companies provide. Now for the reasons I’m returning this tv stand: the holes didn’t align, making assembly more difficult than it needed to be and it caused some minor cracking in the wood. The next issue is that the placement of the hinges on one door didn’t allow for it to close all the way. When you push it closed, it sort of leaves a gap big enough to put your whole finger in. That’s an injury waiting to happen, whether it’s getting pinched by it or brushing up against the sharp exposed corner sticking out when the folding door won’t stay closed. I was sort of able to find that second issue by repeatedly opening and closing the door with some reasonable force at least 100 times over the course of several weeks I spent with it. But that’s REALLY annoying considering the price. I’ve purchased numerous pieces of solid wood acacia and teak furniture from Target for almost half the price of this and have NEVER had any issues. I returned this due to the cracks caused by the misalignment of screw holes. I’m sure I might be the one unlucky customer that received a piece of junk from Burrow, but it’s made me not want to shop here ever again. I’m not paying these premium prices for furniture that has more defects than a piece of mid-range Target furniture. No thanks.

The console parts are shipped in two 60+ pound boxes. Assembly is made difficult by misaligned holes. You will need a rubber hammer. You assembly the console upside down. I believe with a little forethought, the console could have been assembled right side up. On the positive side, it does look good and functions as described.

Love the walnut color. Would be 5 stars but took a bit to ship. Shipping and handling was about 2 1/2 weeks. With that said I'd order again due to the quality of the furniture.
