It's the sleeper sofa that works the day and night shift with equal grace. First things first: Shift makes for a stylish, supportive couch that can fit just about anywhere, because this is Burrow, and so of course it comes in easy-to-manage boxes that you can fit up steep stairs and through narrow doors. But it really shines when you have guests: the seat unfolds to make a genuine queen-sized sleep surface, and the arm cushion inserts can be removed and slipped into standard pillowcases, saving space in your linen closet. With Shift, you're truly be the host with the most.

“I haven't slept on the sofa yet, but I tested it in the SOHO showroom and I liked how it felt as a sofa and it was SO easy to open into a bed and the mattress seemed comfortable. It's a bit firm (and narrow) as a sofa but I don't mind those trade-offs for the compact size and ease of opening/closing. I put the entire sofa together by myself in less than 3 hours (well 3 hours but I also made and ate dinner during that time). It was well packaged with good instructions. Getting the heavy parts out of the boxes was honestly the most challening aspect as I am a petite female with a shoulder injury so I think that made it take a bit longer for me. My brother and sister-in-law have the leather Nomad sofa and I LOVE that one...I would have liked to get the Shift Sleeper in the same camel leather!”

“A high quality sofa both attractive and practical! Of course, nothing is perfect: assembling a sturdy—and heavy!—sofa at home is simply not a task everyone will be up to. Luckily my husband and I are able bodied, but my aging parents probably wouldn’t be able to put together a sofa like this.”

“I put this together by myself easily in a couple hours. It's comfortable and nice looking, no sagging in the cushions. I love the firmness and find it very comfortable for sitting or laying on. Great sofa.”

“The couch form is comfortable and sturdy enough. I like the fabric covering. However, I bought this sleeper for my tiny home to be used as both a couch and a bed. The ease of forming the bed is good. I tried sleeping on the mattress over the course of 5 days. A friend house sat for me and used the bed for 2 nights. We both agree that the sleeping surface is not acceptable even for short stays. So I'm back to using my twin mattress for sleeping and keeping this as a couch only. This was a disappointing lesson for me.”
