One *important* thing to note if you have a 4WD or camper: I read and watched a few reviews on this rack and it wasn't evident from any of them that the rack platform is inclined towards the vehicle by around 5 degrees - this means the bikes are leaning towards the back of the vehicle. As a result, in my case for a 4WD and a campervan, my bike handlebars are either too close or actually contacting the vehicle. I will need a hitch extension to position the rack further out. Turns out that Rockymounts web site warns of this requirement, but seems few reviewers or retailers do.”
“So far so good. I needed a bike rack that would swing away, allowing me to open both the back doors of the Ducato van, and this does just that. It's solid and the swing away works well. I'm a happy camper.”
“This is a very heavy duty, well designed solid unit . The swing away design is the only setup that works with the rear barn doors of our Sprinter. The option of being able to fold up the unit with no bikes is also useful. We paired it with the number plate and light holder. All in all a great design and great construction.”
