Hydronaut® Heavy-Duty Bib True Red / S Reviews

4.8 Rating 69 Reviews
I bought the Barricade bibs first, no lining and just a rain protection. Going to Rainy River Walleye fishing , figured I would need something warmer and still wind and water proof! These are the ticket! Also an update for folks, mine have access for when you have to pee! Us older guys need that!!

I purchased the bibs and jacket, in 2xl. I am 6ft, 285lbs. I wear a size 38x32 jeans and 3xl t-shirt. The 2xl fits great, a little snug if I wear a hoodie under the bibs. The shoulder straps take a little getting used to when putting the bibs on, but once on I felt comfortable fishing in the all day. The jacket fits great. overall this is one of the best foul weather bibs and jacket I have used in my 20 plus years of tournament bass fishing. The thing I like the most, on the bibs, is that the bibs never sag and get caught under my feet. Once on you never have to adjust. The Jacket when fully zipped up is great also, the face protector isn't too tight, it doesn't smash against your face like other Jackets do. there is room to breathe. There is also to air vents in the back of the hood, so when running at 50+ mph the hood doesn't blow up like a balloon.

Overall the bibs are good. Not easy access go to the bathroom. The top of the bibs fit great, but the legs are SOOO long that the knee patches hit me at right above the ankle. I am 5'10" 180# ordered regular XL. I've had to actually cuff the legs up about 6" just so I don't trip. Almost seems like they were mislabeled and maybe are a "tall". Not sure, but they sure look and feel silly.

The bib fits great, except it’s a little long and the legs, lol. I have not worn it yet on the water. I can’t wait to try it. I like the design of the shoulder straps instead of the suspenders because sometimes it’s hard to find the suspenders when putting it on. I only quite a few pieces of from Aftco, and they are all great.

This is my second pair. I gave the first pair to my father in-law. The only thing I wear from barely raining to an all day down pour. Double cuffs are the way to go.
