“I have been using urea-formaldehyde resin wood adhesive (under the general trade name of 'Cascamite') for many years. However, the formulation seems to have changed (although the mixing ratios claimed are the sam) from a light buff coloured mix to a white coloured mix that seems to have too much low grade chalk bulking agent added, and is generally marketed as - 'structural' or 'one-shot' etc. etc. amongst other claims. It does not spread as well as the old formulation, takes an age to cure. So I won't be using this again.”

Thanks for your Review. The manufacturer of Cascamite has had to slightly change the formula of Cascamite over the last 18 months, however we have ran some tests on the product with no problems. We would recommend contacting Polyvine direct and asking them to explain the changes, they have confirmed with us that we are ok to forward our customers who question the Cascamite's performance to them directly.
