This chair is just what I was looking for. I'm a high school math teacher and have been sitting more than usual, due to virtual teaching. My old wooden chair destroyed my neck and back. This chair has been god send. Thank you. Only problem is that I find myself accedentally moving the left arm rest with my elbow, which turns the arm rest (it is movable). The chair is still the best!!! I cannot wait to use it for gaming.

I picked up the MAX because of the weight limit of 400lbs. Period. The giant box arrived yesterday and it took me about 45 minutes to put everything together. The instructions could definitely use some work in that there is an image of a long screw on the instructions, but no long screw provided in the box. Turns out the image was incorrect and you use one of the short screws instead. When putting on the base under the chair, the instructions said "make sure you find the phrase 'front' to make sure you don't install it backwards", but the phrase 'front' is nowhere to be found. Thankfully common sense came to the rescue and I installed it correctly. Last but not least, there were zero instructions on how to install the head-rest/back-support pillows. I watched a YouTube video which told me INCORRECTLY how to install the head-rest. Only after looking at the photos posted on this site (zoomed in 150%) was I able to determine how to properly install the head-rest. AKRACING should invest in an instructional installation video for sure. Be careful installing the hydraulic gas lift as it is extremely heavy and when I dropped it by accident on my hardwood floor it left a pretty hefty dent. As for the chair itself, it's sturdy and rolls smoothly across the floor. I laid it all the way back and tentatively put my weight into it and surprise surprise the chair didn't tip over. Not sure how the physics work on that one, but I'd probably not use it in 180 degrees laid flat "too" often going forward. The flat seat without any wing-tips is ideal for a sitter like me, meaning someone who sits with one leg tucked underneath the other leg. I haven't felt the need to add any more cushion to the seat as the foam is plenty supportive. The chair sits deep so even at 6'6" you can't see my head over the top of the chair. It definitely has a gaming feel with the accent colors (even the black on black model) and holes in the back (to attach the head-rest and back-support pillows) so look elsewhere if you want a more traditional office-appropriate chair. Is the MAX chair worth $500? Probably not, but I was happy to pay that amount to a company that is conscience about what makes a solid chair that's comfortable even after 8 hours of sitting behind a screen. Although I do always recommend taking a break once an hour to walk around!

The chair is very comfortable, i bought this specific model because it had the highest weight capacity that i saw, i am 6'5 and 340 lbs and while i am slightly too tall for the chair in my opinion it isnt so much so it us uncomfortable, i just have to maneuver the pillow a little and it is good. Build quality overall seems good, i can only compare it to my GtOmega chair, which broke after about a year, the welds in the seat the support the backrest broke and then i came to find out the chair had no warranty. So i came here and got this, so far i am impressed and we will see if it breaks. Only gripe i had was is i could not find a darn screw, it was the shorter screw that holds the tilt mechanism to the base or the seat, i did appreciate that the screws were prescrewed where they belong but all i could find was the locking washer, but luckily they are the same screws as the gtomega base except for length, it is longer, but not enough to mess with anything. But again overall i am impressed. Hope this helps.

I ordered the the Max chair, but I was sent the overture instead. Front of the seat should say max, but instead says overture. Greatly disappointed that I ordered the more expensive Max, but received the cheaper model. Would not recommend to my gaming friends.
