“This is the devotional for me for the remainder of 2020 that is how powerfully it has impacted me. Through Alabaster's ambassador program I was able to get On Beauty and Faith and as a creative it has helped shift and refocus the way I perceive my work and purpose in life as a creative. Some of the visuals are a bit repetitive in this book compared to some of the others I have had the privilege of getting and reading, however the message it brings through is exactly what we need for this year. Taking a creative and in depth look at the lessons and meaning of the woman with the alabaster jar, the book explores the story in a way I haven't experienced or though of before. Truly needed to reflect on this during some of the struggles 2020 has presented to me as a creative in my work as a specialty barista and photographer.”

“Well this book was a beautiful surprise! The chapter on beauty and generosity challenged me to step outside of my scarcity mindset. The book dissects the story of the woman with the Alabaster Jar and although I’ve read this story many times over, I’ve never thought of this moment as an act of generosity. I’ve always focused on how she was treated and Jesus’ response. I’ve also never read it through the lens of how every thing she did was a form of beauty. The explanations on beauty is very detailed, but the words are poetic and well written which made it easy to follow and understand in the context of the story. This book captures every detail and brought a heightened awareness to critical moments I’ve overlooked. I have a feeling I’ll be looking for beauty in other stories from the Bible and I’m excited about that!

“In just the first few pages of this book, I fell in love. I am an artist and a believer, and I was so encouraged in how they communicated an artist's role in the body of Christ. How we as artist are called to "use things in the physical world to move people beyond the physical.....nourishment for the human soul." What a calling! And 'Beauty and Faith' is SO. BEAUTIFUL. WRITTEN. The images are lovely, but the language is equally as lovely. I highly recommend this book, for both artist and lovers of art alike. I know it will encourage you and make you fall deeper in love with our Creator God, and with the gift he gives us of also creating!”
