This book was exactly what I was needing. I get caught up so easily in wanting to be beautiful on the outside I forget that beauty is so much more than just our outward appearance, but what is in our hearts. When talking about Mark 14:1-11, what happens is described “beautiful as an outward sign of inward goodness.” I want to be seen as someone like this woman.

““Beautiful as an outward sign of inner goodness” this line is on the opening page of the book and stood out to me. As an artist myself, the first chapter spoke to me, as I was reminded that my art speaks beyond the physical and helps to give a glimpse of the beauty of the eternal. This book is filled with scripture and encourages you to think about the concept of beauty beyond the worldly definition in regards to faith. In the chapter on generosity, the discussion of efficiency, I was reminded how often I can get caught up in doing things the most efficient way, rather than living a slow life that spills out generosity and the love of Christ. Overall thus book was well written and a great piece to read and digest and apply to my own Christian walk.
