This book goes deep. I love it. Taking a subject that I have become passionate about over the years and putting it into such apt and well... beautiful words. My two favorite chapters are Beauty and Identity and Beauty and Vulnerability. Wow. I mean just wow. Like I said this book does not splash in the shallow end, but rather invites you to tread water in the deep. It causes you to appreciate and even crave beauty in a whole new way. It fuels a passion to partner with the Lord to discover and create beauty. Please note, this review was given in exchange for the book. However all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Alabaster has outdone themselves, yet again! The level of detail, care and intentionality they put into this project is evident with every page. Each chapter is so unique and stunning. I truly cannot wait to receive my printed copy that was gifted to me as a part of the Alabaster Influence Program. This is a powerful book that I know I will get swept away in the beauty, wonder and creativity the pages hold! Well done, Alabaster!

When I heard Alabaster was making a devotional I got so excited! They really did an amazing job on Beauty and Faith. It’s such a great read and the beautiful photography makes flipping through the pages such an incredible experience. I would definitely recommend picking this up, or getting it as a gift for a friend.

“We are fated to search for beauty in ourselves... We have an innate desire to see ourselves as beautiful, and for others to recognize it as well.” This book was exactly what I was needing. I get caught up so easily in wanting to be beautiful on the outside I forget that beauty is so much more than just our outward appearance, but what is in our hearts. When talking about Mark 14:1-11, what happens is described “beautiful as an outward sign of inward goodness.” I want to be seen as someone like this woman. My copy of the book was complimentary through Alabaster’s Influencer Program.

“Beautiful as an outward sign of inner goodness” this line is on the opening page of the book and stood out to me. As an artist myself, the first chapter spoke to me, as I was reminded that my art speaks beyond the physical and helps to give a glimpse of the beauty of the eternal. This book is filled with scripture and encourages you to think about the concept of beauty beyond the worldly definition in regards to faith. In the chapter on generosity, the discussion of efficiency, I was reminded how often I can get caught up in doing things the most efficient way, rather than living a slow life that spills out generosity and the love of Christ. Overall thus book was well written and a great piece to read and digest and apply to my own Christian walk. ** This book was gifted to me as a part of the Alabaster Influencer program
