It is a good big picture yet personal devotional for the busy persom that also prioritizes time in the Word. Received the hard cover as a gift, which is high-quality. Bought this one as a gift for a friend due to cost and lighter weight in case she wants to take it on the go.”
“I bought A Beautiful Year in the Bible: 52-Week Bible Study for Women in November or December 2024 - after just ~scouring~ the internet for gift ideas for my family. When I came across the Alabaster site and particularly this Bible Study for women, I decided to order it for myself, with the intention of telling my husband he could give it to me for my Christmas present. I received it, and it was in brown parcel shipping paper, with the word "Alabaster" printed on it. Complete transparency -- I couldn't remember what I had ordered, but I did remember that it was something that I had felt very strongly about. So I did not open the package, but wrapped it up , put a tag on it that read "To Jodi, Love Tom" and placed it under the tree. When everyone was done opening their presents on Christmas morning, I opened this one last. When I saw it I immediately remembered the feeling I had when I ordered it for myself.... it was truly like a breath of fresh air! I knew exactly why I had ordered it! I waited until Jan 1 2025 to start, and here it is, August 13, 2025, and I am still absolutely enamored with this Bible Study. I faithfully read it every single week (some weeks I have to combine multiple days of reading into a single day, I admit, but I NEVER miss a week). I am on Week 31 and this Bible Study has been an undeniable BLESSING in my life. I spend this time reading JUST FOR ME. I look forward to it and have grown so much in my Faith journey. For any woman who wants to hear God's word and know what it means in our lives TODAY, I highly recommend. It has changed my life and is enabling me to do something I never thought was possible.... reading completely through the Bible!
