Packaging was terrible! All the hardware was rattling around and loose in the box. Chain was too small for our gate so we had to buy extra. The instructions were awful. Still installing it (day 2). Hopefully it will run as expected.

Works great runs smoothly and evenly, install was fairly easy. It did take some time obviously to set things up. The only minor thing that I can think of is that during set up, the safety mechanism takes a while as the adjustment knob is very sensitive, it did take a bit to dial that in.

After two years this gate opener is still going strong. 16' steel gate with wood pickets. Very pleased! Averaging 4 openings a day - that's 2920 operations and still going strong. I dug a 24" x 16" x 24" deep square hole and put steel rebar in it. Then I mixed the concrete. This gave it a good slab to sit on. I keep the chain lubed and it works flawlessly

There has been a language barrier with the two CSRs I've worked with, so communication in English has been a challenge. Also, they aren't punctual with sending out a replacement board. They must receive the old one first and process, before sending out a new one. And shipping costs are not covered by ALEKO. I noticed when removing the old control board, the base is rusting significantly, and should probably be removed and re-painted while the gate is out of service. The positives on the unit is it was fairly easy to install and setup. It works well, and moves my 24ft 800lb gate without any issues. The biggest positive is the gate controller is 1/3 the c
