This chain-driven sliding gate opener is designed with a 120V AC (3/4 HP equivalent) motor. It provides exceptional starting torque and continuous operation, and can be used for most applications. It opens gates weighing up to 1,700 lbs or 59 ft. in length (a 20 ft. chain is included; if your gates are more than 20 ft in length then you can purchase an extra chain). Additional accessories are included: (1) Photocell Sensor; (1) Wired Push Button; (1) Metal Box for Keypad; (1) Wireless Keypad with Backlight

“Lots of power in a small package. I chose it because of the good reviews. The kit is pretty complete and I can't think of anything additional they should have included. The quality and engineering of the parts is very good. My gate is an 18 foot long 6 foot tall, 2 inch square steel frame slatted with wood and probably weighs in at about 500 pounds. First off, as a former aviation mechanic and technical writer, it's apparent the instructions were written by someone whose first language is not English. There is a lot of interpretation to be done, but it is doable. I set this system up with the infrared eyes, hard wired open and close switches, and an my own external power switch at the base of the unit. One of the drawbacks of this system is it does not provide for a Knox type switch for Fire Department override and entry. My way of getting around that is to put the Knox switch in parallel with the hard wire switches and provide directions to turn the power switch off af”

“Packaging was terrible! All the hardware was rattling around and loose in the box. Chain was too small for our gate so we had to buy extra. The instructions were awful. Still installing it (day 2). Hopefully it will run as expected.”

“Works great runs smoothly and evenly, install was fairly easy. It did take some time obviously to set things up. The only minor thing that I can think of is that during set up, the safety mechanism takes a while as the adjustment knob is very sensitive, it did take a bit to dial that in.”
