This chain driven sliding gate opener is designed with a 120V AC (3/4 HP equivalent) motor which provides exceptional starting torque and continuous operation, making it perfect for most applications. It opens gates weighing up to 1,700 lbs or 59 Ft in length (20 ft chain is included; if your gates are more than 20 ft in length then you can purchase an extra chain in " Chains" section).

“I have a bit of "you get what you pay for" trepidation, due to the low price. But the AC1400 gate opener seems sturdy enough. It wasn't exactly a walk in the park to install it, but it wasn't impossible, either. It will bring out your inner MacGyver. One piece of advice: Turn the force adjust all the way down before operating the gate for the first time; turn it up just until the gate doesn't stop or reverse unexpectedly. The hardware got slightly bent because the force was really high.My gate is just under 19 feet, and the supplied chain was plenty long enough. I had to cut a bit off of it to make it fit. I used a nail set as a punch (my inner MacGyver at work?), but you'll probably be happier if you have a chain cutting tool on hand, such as this one:В Koch 7725010 Roller Chain Breaker, #25 to #60Everyone is enjoying not having to get out of the car to open and close the gate! We'll see how long it lasts. I'll try to remember to update this review as time goes by.Update, af”

“Been in use for 6 weeks now and only one issue with the chain coming apart at the place we had to add additional length. Wish it had come with a longer chain to start with but I put it back together and it's been working fine ever since.”

“It started to malfunction on the first 15 days. The door gets stuck about every 20 days, I have to get tool to loosen chain completely, open gate half way, retight, and close with remote. It has worked every time, and of course it happens at the most inconvenient time, like a lighting storm in the middle of the night, or when your dog is trying to run to explore the neighborhood. But because the price is so much cheaper than others I decided to keep it. Support is not the most willing to help, they rush to say " The instructions are in the manual" well, I would not be calling if I tried and it did not work !!!!!”

“They work as described, i am pulling a heavy 30 foot gate and so far the unit has not shown any signs of weakness etc. Great little motor, if I had listen to the company who created the gate, I would have shelled out 2k per unit for the same result, thank you ALEKO!”
