“Installation of this awning was breeze. However, the height when fully extended at the end is much lower than anticipated. Not certain if this was completely disclosed or if I misunderstood as this was installed over a deck rather than a patio. Provides the shading desired.”

“This is a good addition to our back patio. It was relatively easy to install. With a few minutes help from my wife, I got it mounted. The awning cranks out easily. I had to make a few minor adjustments to get it level when it was extended.”

“not bad for the price comes in easy handy man box, 2 man with a little knowledge can put it on the porch in 1 h .makes noise in the wind little to off space on some corners, but price wise still a great deal, if the fabric stays that good as it looks now..If you can life with the noise and support the small mounting beam with a wider metal - you can't find a better deal.Nothing for a man with 2 left hands.”

“After researching other, more expensive, awnings, I decided on the Aleko 8x10 Sand color retractable awning. We installed it over our deck. It was pretty straightforward. We had to buy lag bolts (the kit only comes with masonry bolts)and installed it into studs. Somehow the sand color is the EXACT color of our house! Kwal "Ginger Root" (in case you're really wrestling with the color). The hand crank is so easy to use. It takes maybe 20-30 seconds to open or close it. I definitely don't leave it open if I'm not home, because we live in a very windy area. There is a remote and wind sensor that you can buy, but for occasional use it seems unnecessary. It feels like we've added another room onto the house!”
