“purchased the item with high hopes for quality, received the package and the exterior packaging was in good condition. upon opening, the items inside were damaged. this leads me to believe there is poopr quality control at the manufacture. unfortunately i already paid an installer to come and unbox and set up the awning, this was out of pocket expense of $350, when he opened the box and saw the damaged items i considered reaching out and returning the damaged product but since i had the installer come out i was going to be charged $150 for a call out fee. i then had to make the decision on returning and losing the $150 install fee or installing the damaged awning. i decided to go with installing the damaged awning and cutting my loses. i would not recomend this brand to anyone as they have poor quality control inspections and packaging protocols. there is no reason why the exteior of the shipping box is undamaged but the item inside are. i wish i would have went with another company for a more quality controlled item. i hope this doesnt reflect the over all quality and longevity of this product and i hope that someone with in the company sees this message and makes the proper notifications to address this issue so that no one else has to deal with the same problem”

“After trying to hire someone to assemble & mount this beast (roof mount), I was left to fend for myself. I carefully followed the instructions - Very good instructions by the way, & assembled the awning one day, and had my brother in law help me lift it into position, lock it into the roof mounts, & then help make the final adjustments the next day. This is a QUALITY motorized awning for a fraction of what you would pay elsewhere for a similar product. It was time consuming assembling it (for a 1st timer), but I made sure to take my time. I also did it alone, with no help as the awning was spread out accross 3 outdoor tables . It is VERY HEAVY when assembled (12x10), so make sure you have help when moving and mounting it. It arrived very nicely packaged, and the fabric came in a separate shipment. The instructions were precise and easy to understand, if I haven't already mentioned that. My wife was able to help me feed the fabric into position onto the awning, but she was free to go after that. TIP: When prepping the fabric for install, I used some thick ground wire I had to feed thru the fabric eye lid, then taped the rubber cord to it & pulled it back thru. Probably saved myself a good hour and a sore neck/back by doing it that way. Also used a rubber mallet to put the LED covers over the lights. You will NOT be able to slide them on, so don't try. You will only end up folding or breaking the light covers. The remote is nice,too. I absolutley LOVE my new ALEKO awning and have been enjoying it on my back deck since the day it was installed !”
