“Overall, the our 20x10 awning is a nice addition to improve our outdoor living space. We haven't taken full advantage of it since we have been waiting on a new patio to be completed. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the challenges we had with installation! :( We watched the video, multiple times, read the instructions repeatedly, neither of which were current with what was delivered. Before we were finished, we had installed and removed it five times. Small differences in some cases were significant when it came to completing the install. Since we needed to take it down multiple times to correct the assembly, it became a challenge re-aligning the bar with mounts. The mounting brackets, made from cast aluminum(?) in my opinion, should be constructed of steel. We were also disappointed in the drop in height, once fully extended. Time will tell how well the awning will wear and weather in the hot sun and cold winters of NE Kansas.”

“Everything arrived on time as promised. The box had a rip (see pictures) and the product had paint scrapes and dents (see pictures). Not the company's (Aleko) fault, but FedEx's fault. Installation was a nightmare! Instructions contradicted each other and the company sent wrong parts (per user manual). One example of such; In step #8 in the User Manual, after the whole roller assembly is complete, it's instructed to insert the center support roller. The issue is, they depict a bracket with one end open and secured with a bolt and the item I received had a full boxed in bracket. Basically I had to then disassemble from Step #7 down to Step #4 just to put on a bracket. All steps followed to the tee. It's frustrating having an inadequate user manual and being sent the wrong parts. Before I could even get the product fully assembled, vital parts which hold the torsion arms together, cracked in half, sending the arm springing outward and thru the valance fabric,(see pictures) leaving a useless $600+ weight on the side of my house. The many bolts and screws that came with my awning are of extremely poor grade for such an expensive product. The bolts needing to be disassembled for the bracket installation came out stripped, like they where made from aluminum for some other cheep material. I reached out via email to customer service, sent a very thorough and detailed description of events and haven't received any word from the company other than this email asking me to review the product. So I happily obliged and will update this review if the company remedies the broken product.”
