“This sauna purchase has felt very much like a "bait and switch" situation. The website buries important details when purchasing a sauna. For example, freight is only delivered curbside meaning at the end of the driveway - we live on a dirt road and curbside for us is technically 300ft down the road by the highway. Apparently this detail was somewhere in the checkout process, but on a mobile phone, details get a whole lot smaller. I would suggest that this be a checbox that you must click on before purchasing - like accepting the terms and conditions. I received detailed freight/delivery information when the freight carrier reached out to deliver the sauna - which you only have 48 hours of hold time before they start charging you a storage fee. Nothing related to the shipping was shared until - hello your sauna is ready to be delivered on this day and you have 48 hours to take delivery before we start charging you. When I called Aleko, the customer service agent quickly pointed me to a website shipping page, scroll halfway down beyond all the shipping policy stuff to LTL shipping. click on the drop down box... there is the policy. I never would have thought to look there before placing my order. Bait and switch. Another detail is that you only have three days upon delivery to let me know if anything is missing. So you must be ready to unbox your kit ASAP. Next big surprise came after we downloaded the instructions to put the sauna together. There is no enclosed floor for this sauna. There is 19 inch wide slat-panel as you enter the sauna, but your floor in the room you want to put the sauna will be exposed to the interior of the sauna. This kit is four walls, a door and a roof. NO FLOOR. So you have to make sure your floor can withstand heat, water, etc. Looking at the photos on the website, it gives the impression there is a floor. The fact that I had to got to the instruction manual to learn this again feels very much like a bait and switch based on the photos. Our plan is to return this because the cost to upgrade our floor for this sauna to sit on is cost-prohibitive and building a custom floor base is also problemmatic since our initial search for contractors to help with this came up empty. I now understand why there is such a big price difference between sauna products. If I could, I also would go to every website or online store where this sauna is sold and share everything I learned about this process & product so that future buyers could truly make an informed purchasing decesion. Awful. Only somewhat postive thing to say is at least the customer service reps I dealt with across multiple customer service calls were very nice/professional despite "the oh well there is nothing that can be done - it's on our website response."”
