“My particular pair came in defective, with the very bottom of the left pocket, sewn into the long seam running down the outside of the leg. This caused an unsightly bulge on the side of the pants. The weight and feel of the fabric is actually very nice. Even more comfortable than the microbrushed French Terry LJ&S sweats. These didn’t have a semi tall option, and at 6’4, the length is a touch on the long side. I wear a 34-35 inseam in the most popular Jean company out there. The customer service side instilled more confidence in the brand… but I would advise AT over the LJ&S brushed Terry sweats. They are objectively more comfortable.
The sizing seems a little wonky IMO. The site indicated that these in large would be good for a 37 inch waist, which is about an inch larger than my TRUE to size measurement, as per my tailor.
These seemed to be better suited to someone with a significantly larger waist / seat. My replacement pair coming in, is a medium. If you wear a 34/35 Levi with a 34+ inseam I would say go medium / semi tall when available.
DISCLAIMER: This is based on my LIMITED experience with the brand as this was my FIRST order. They may be some degree of discrepancy within each individual size, but I can’t speak to that.”
“I've been waiting 43 years for a pair of sweatpants that fit me (6'5" with 34 waist) and these are it. I wish I discovered American Tall earlier. They are super comfortable. I'll be ordering more in the future from them. Thank you so much!”
“My 17 year old son was so excited to see these sweatpants in basic colors. Fit was wonderful. Extra room at the bottom so he may not even have to air dry these sweatpants.”
