“Ordered several pairs of pants for my son who is 6'5". I ordered these in a large tall and they were absolutely huge on him. He has to tie the drawstring incredibly tight and the length on these is approximately 3" longer than any of the other pants ordered. The color of these particular pants faded so quickly. They have a dusty appearance now with only one wash. I already returned a pair once because of colorfastness and that was a pain. These will have to go to the "donate" pile. :(”
“After 6 months, I want to like these more but they feel more like a prototype than a finished product. The waist measurements are just horribly off on the size chart -- I ordered my true size and they were several inches too big, and when I exchanged for a size down, I still encounter issues with the waist being too loose and slipping down within the first 30 minutes of wearing. I'm not sure if this is an issue with size chart inaccuracy or poor quality control on the actual garment, but consider sizing down significantly if you buy them. That leads to the drawstring, which is also subpar. It doesn’t have enough friction with itself or the waistband, so when attempting to tie it, I'll pull it as tightly as possible but it always slips a substantial amount during actual tying, leading to a looser fit. Even if I was able to keep the drawstring fully taut while tying, I'd be pulling it to the limit, further confirming the sizing issue. Finally, over the course of 6 months with semi-frequent wear, the pants' color has gotten a dusty and faintly orange tint across the front. I don’t get these that dirty, I wash them regularly and air dry them, I don’t use any skin or laundry products that would bleach or stain the fabric. Overall, I love the cut and they’re very comfortable, but the waist, drawstring, and colorfastness needs to improve a lot for the price. If American Tall released an improved version, I'd definitely give them a shot.”
