“This was my first pair from this site. For reference I am 6’6” and around 280 pounds. I was excited to try this, and have mixed opinions.
The good:
The price was decent and I got them on sale. They look very sharp, I like the dark blue and the contrast stitching is good. They seem well designed and sewn, and materials seem good. They feel slightly elastic, which I appreciate. The fit is a little looser than expected, but I don’t mind a bit of extra space.
The less-good:
The shipping, though free, was slow. Additionally, I read that there are no free returns, which troubled me for a mail order clothier. Lastly, and my only real gripe is the rise of the pants. My legs are actually not that long for my height. I usually wear a 34” inseam. The pair I bought are a 36” which is a little generous, so I folded the hem up. What I don’t like is how low the rise is. I was hoping for a site that specializes in tall sizes, the pants would rise more than regular retail jeans I can buy. There’s no way to tailor that, and it’s totally up to the manufacturer to determine how high the rise is. I’m not young, and I’d like to be able to wear these for work or with a blazer but frankly I’m not sure the low cut really warrants it. I don’t like the prospect of my backside hanging out every time I sit. It seems like all women’s pants are cut to rise above their navel, but men are doomed to have pants that barely pass their pubic bone. I suppose I’ll keep looking for the perfect pair.”
We're sorry that you're not completely happy with the fit of the pants. We recommend trying a different style such as our J1 Straight Leg Jeans which will be slimmer in the legs. At the moment we don't offer a longer rise, however, we can definitely share your feedback with our design team.
We do offer free returns for store credit and free size exchanges. If you return for a refund you will only be charged the $9 fee if you use our prepaid return label. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
“Giving 2 stars because I love the jeans EXCEPT FOR THE TERRIBLE ZIPPER.
The zipper on these jeans are too small, hard to use because they get stuck in the center crevice when fully unzipped making it very difficult to zip up most of the time. Additionally, the zipper is extremely cheap as it completely broke on me after just 6 weeks of use. Now I have to turn them in to a Taylor to install a quality zipper and I might as well have them do all of the pants I ordered because I'm sure they will break sooner than later. Unfortunately I'm really disappointed because again these jeans are excellent otherwise. Why put such a thin fragile zipper on quality blue jeans? Please update to another quality zipper that will out last the jeans. I'll pay the difference if you need to bump the price a bit, just give me a quality zipper please.”
We're sorry that you're unhappy with the zipper and are having trouble with it. Please contact our customer support team and someone will look into this for you.
