A.T. Basics Men's Dylan Slim Fit Jeans for Tall Men in Charged Blue 28 / 36 / Charged Blue Reviews

2 Rating 2 Reviews
Thought I would write a review on these as I own 5 pairs of the Dylans and wear them almost exclusively for about 6 months per year. I’m 6’5”, 195-200 lbs, athletic build. The Tall (6’3-6’7”) in 34/36 are nearly perfect length. Just a tad long, but much preferable to too short. 33/36 would fit me better but the 34 is ok. Overall, these fit very well and there’s not much on the market that competes with them for us Talls. For the relief of finding a brand that fits, 5/5. Objectively, one thing I have noticed significantly in these jeans versus other brands is that the front pocket openings are very small. I’m someone who uses pockets often, and these are hard to get my hands in. The opening cut is very horizontal. This is a company that makes clothes for Tall and Big men, yet the pocket openings are smaller than most other brands. The openings feel sharpish. I think this could be fixed by making the opening just a tiny bit bigger, with possibly a more slanted cut. The quality of these jeans is decent, but a little suspect. Due to the tiny pocket holes, the pocket lining tore out from one pair within 6 months due to trying to fit my hands in the pocket. In comparison to other brands, the pocket fabric is thin. I’ve also had a pair tear out in the buttocks as well as the groin next to the crotch central seam. They are by no means too tight. I have other jeans that have lasted for literally 10 years and transitioned to around-the-house work jeans due to how long they’ve held up. All of these tears within 6-18 months. I’ll probably buy more to replace these torn ones as A.T. has the market monopoly on tall clothes, but I wish there were some updates in the pockets and build quality.

I just want to say that I love most everything I get from AT. I live in these clothes - at this point, almost exclusively. This experience won't stop me from continuing to be a loyal customer. But... These jeans - the AT Basic (Tufts Blue specifically) were terrible. I bought 34/36 - which is what I get when I order any Dylan Slim Fit (it's all I wear) Jean or Pant. these have to be at least a 36/38 in size. and the legs are just baggy. And the zipper is...rough? like it's just on the verge of catching and not able to finish going up or down. I sent pics in to the site that compared a standard pair of Dylan Slim Fit jeans that I have purchased and this pair - the AT Basic pair was just grossly oversized compared to the others. I understand that these are a "cheaper" pair of jeans, and I wasn't expecting them to be the same as the regular jeans I get from here, but I just feel like I wasted money on these. Won't make that mistake again.
