“The overall fit is good, but I cannot get the zipper working consistently to save my life. It takes anywhere from 15 seconds to a minute just to get it going, and then the bottom zipper pull won't stay shut and it will slowly start to unzip while wearing, causing me to constantly have to zip it back down. I figured I may have gotten a bad zipper, but upon reading some of the other reviews, this is a known issue with this model. I don't see a need for a bottom pull zipper in a hoodie anyhow? Like I mentioned, the fit is really great, which makes the defective zipper all that more disappointing. I currently have a case open with AT so hopefully they'll take care of things and also revisit the zipper design for future zip hoodies. I also have the first generation Wearever zip hoodie and it is absolutely perfect in all ways. This version feels like a downgrade, unfortunately.”

“Ordered the men's zip up because the women's is cut short. The length is nice, I like the double zipper. They must have done a redesign because I've ordered this before and it had a single zip. The redesign material is thinner and made smaller than the previous version. Three stars because of the material... If you get a spot of water on this it looks like a huge stain and takes forever to dry.”

“It was great at first but in less than 6 months the arm cuffs are stretched out & splitting and there are holes in the body at the edges of the pockets. Big decline from the last hoodie i bought that was in great shape for all over a year.”

“The zipper is terrible. I am pretty sure that the person that decided to do this never actually tried it. They do not work. These hoodies were great before the update - but I will not get another one until they go back to the single zip. I think this says a lot about the quality control for American Tall in general.”

“Whoever designed this should be fired. 2.0? No, this is 3 steps back from the original and it's all because of the zipper(s). WHY ARE THERE TWO ZIPPERS AND WHY ARE THEY SO AWFUL?? I need tall hoodies so I'm stuck keeping them but I hate them and will be sure to tell everyone not to buy them and that I'm only keeping them out of need.”

“First of all, it's a great hoodie. I got L with the extra tall length and it fits amazingly for me. It's comfortable and warm without being too thick. My only issue is the zipper. It's a heavy duty sort of metal zipper in which I have trouble getting everything lined up to get it started. Because of its long length, the zipper starting point is just at the right level to look like (from the occasional 3rd party perspective) that I might be providing myself with a little personal self care but not in any gentle, smooth or Barry Manilow kind of way! The teeth won't line up! In fact, after multiple attempts to try and get the zipper going, the only sure thing I've found is to let out a few colorful words! The use of such language seems to be the most consistent way of finally get the zip to start zipping. A little quality assurance on the type of zippers you use could go a long way to make it a smoother, less awkward, less explicit experience of getting the zipper going. Thanks”
