“Sizing and quality both need work. This blazer suffers from a recurring issue at American Tall, pattern inconsistency. I am 6'6" with a normal body. I ordered this blazer in Tall 50 and it arrived with comically long arms, very much out of proportion to the overall length of the blazer - the sleeves are a good inch too long.
Additionally, one of the inside seams shows through the fabric on the front of the blazer, which is a manufacturing and QC issue.
What I believe is happening is that American Tall works with a number of suppliers who are adapting their standard patterns to fit taller customers. But instead of changing the entire pattern, it feels like there's frequently just length added, which makes no sense. I had widely different fits on shirts - some excellent, others not so much - and pants - chinos that were sitting below the hip.
Other items (polo shirts, jeans) fitted perfectly.
Unfortunately this blazer was final sale, so I can't return it - fortunately I've got a good tailor who will be able to fix both the arms and the visible seam, but it was still disappointing.”

Our sizing is much more than simply adding extra length—we engineer each garment proportionally, with careful attention to the body, shoulders, sleeves, and waist, to ensure a balanced and flattering fit without excess fabric. “This is a great looking jacket and I love the way it feels. The arm holes, however, are pretty low - lower than in other blazers I’ve ordered from this site, which have been Small Tall sizes. I’m just curious, why are the arm holes in this one as low as they are for a 38?”
