“I am 6'-6", 43" chest, 225 lbs, 37"-38" arms, 36" pant inseam. I saw a bunch of reviews that said to get the LT, but it was too small in the shoulders and the arms (particularly at the elbow--hard to bend my arm). I exchanged for a XLT and it fits just right. There are thumb holes in the cuff, but they are not long enough for my arms so the length of the sleeves feel tight when I have my thumbs in, otherwise they are just the right length and the cuffs extend just onto my palm. The holes for the thumbs are also too small for my thumbs. There could be a fraction more room in the elbows for my own build, but seems fine. The neck is a little small for me. I'm usually a 17" neck and I can't really zip the zipper up all the way comfortably. I will when it's very cold, but it's not quite enough room for my neck. I'm not quite sure what the deal is with the zipper. It's harder to get it right than any other coat I've ever had. For some reason, when I start the zipper, it gets off by one notch sometimes (half the time or so) and I can't get the bottom portion of the zipper to work, or come up. I just have to give another try and I can usually get it. I'm worried that because it's difficult to start it, the zipper will wear out sooner at the very bottom. I just wish it could start a little easier and this is the main reason for 4 stars and not 5. The zipper seems rugged otherwise. I love the hood, soft on the inside and I've kept the fur on for now. It seems deep enough and not too big. I've had other coats where the hood is either too short (tight on the top of my head) or not deep enough (so it doesn't extend over my forehead) but this one seems just right for me. The front hand pockets have fleece on the outer side of the inside of the pockets (but not on the inside side). It helps keep my hands warm. These pockets seem big enough for my hands and are at a good height so they rest comfortably in the pockets. I've had other coats where they were slightly angled up so my hand fits better. These are horizontal (not angled up at all) but still seem to work well. The sleeves have satin so your arms can slide in and out easily (unlike some other coats I've had where it's a fight to get in or out of the coat). The coat is rugged and looks great. The snaps are bigger than any other coat I've had--they seem better quality. It has some other pockets that are cool, but that I'll probably never use. I told my sister (who is 6' 2" and also gets a lot of clothes from AT) that I feel like a viking king when I'm wearing it. It's the best coat I've ever owned and is replacing an LLBean parka I've had for years (but does not compare to this one--the LLBean one was not as durable nor did it fit as well--though the zipper worked flawlessly). The outer fabric seems very durable and I think the parka will last me a very long time. I love that the sleeves are long enough and that I can feel it warming me up as soon as I put it on. I've worn it in 15 deg F weather for a walk with my wife. I was out for 45 min or so and had started to sweat a little by the time we were done. Otherwise, I've worn it in 20 deg weather to/from work and I've never gotten close to feeling cold (at least what was within the coat--my legs may have gotten cold, but that's not the coat's problem).”
“Length is great, both arms and body length. Weight is wonderful! The reason for the 4 is the neck. There is no protection around the face/neck for your face/chin, so don’t plan on zipping it all the way up. I bought a neck wrap so I can stay warm and be protected. Columbia has this figured out with a nice flap at the top on the inside. Such a nice coat, and would be even better with this improvement.”
