“When I opened the package, I genuinely thought some unfortunate animal must have become entangled in the raincoat and died of asphyxiation, because nothing else could possibly explain the horrendous odor. Plugging my nose and inspecting the package, there was no dead animal. The shipment came with four other garments that were the usual high quality stuff I expect from American Tall and definitely did not smell like rotting flesh, so it's just something wrong with this raincoat. The item was final sale (no refunds/returns), but it was only 37 bucks after clearance + discount, so it's not too big of a deal, I suppose. Still, it's pretty shocking that this thing could make it past any sort of quality control. This raincoat is hazardous waste and I disposed of it accordingly. I would have shot it into the sun if I had the means to do so.”

“I’m a big fan of AT and have bought a LOT of clothing here, but I picked this up recently and have worn it a couple times in the PNW rain and it is not remotely waterproof. Clothes I wear underneath are soaked after less than 10 minutes walking my dog in the rain. So, uh, not really sure what the purpose of this garment is. If you need a raincoat, this ain’t your thing.”

“There was an odor to the jacket unfortunately!! I was giving as a gift however I had to wash it immediately to get rid of the odor. It's still drying. I'm hoping the odor came out”
