“Positive: beautiful color, very long sleeves (also sort of a negative as I feel sleeves are overly long, actually)
Negative: *just* fits me in the shoulders. I have had this issue with other "tall" clothing in the past - both from American Tall and other brands. It seems like the clothing is literally just made longer and that consideration for other proportions maybe needing to be adjusted (shoulder width) is not given. Of note, I'm not a particularly large or broad person - so I don't get why this is such an issue. The material is also thinner than other flannel shirts and flannel sheets I have purchased in the past from other companies so I don't think it will be as warm as I was anticipating and I question if it is actually "flannel". Shirt is long enough - but sleeves are actually too long. Apparently they expect the person who will best fit this shirt to have very narrow shoulders and very very long arms.....”
We're sorry you aren't completely happy with the fit of the flannel, thanks for the feedback. Please feel free to contact our customer experience team if you ever have questions.
“I purchased L/Tall. I'm 5'10" and weigh 195lbs. This is my first purchase with American Tall so I was concerned about fit. My size choice was helped through the live chat. They took the time to measure the shoulder-to-shoulder width. My back width is about 17-18". Initially, I was worried that this size would be too tight around my shoulders and hips, but L/T fit perfectly. I could wear a light bamboo turtleneck as a base layer, and the shirt didn't feel tight. The fabric is a very light flannel. I would call it soft, brushed cotton. If you want a thicker flannel shirt, then this is not it—4-star rating for the fabric, not for fit or quality.”
